The device can print at speeds of up to 32ppm and fax documents as quickly as three seconds per page, and also offers duplex printing, wireless connectivity and a paper capacity of up to 1,850 sheets. Kyocera stated that the machine brings “power and flexibility to workgroups of all sizes”, with “vibrant colour” and eco features.

Among the environmentally-friendly aspects of the printer are included its long-life drum, which is featured in other ECOSYS printers and “separates the toner container” as well as “enabl[ing] users to replenish toner without sacrificing the drum – thus reducing consumable costs and landfill waste”. The M6530cdn can also switch to standby mode when not being used, and has a monthly duty cycle of around 100,000 pages.

Other features include a USB “host interface”, Apple AirPrint compatibility, an SD card slot, and the Kyocera Mobile Print app, which “frees users to print files from their smartphones or tablets”. The M6530cdn also utilises Kyocera’s Command Centre Rx software, which “tracks toner and paper consumption from a web browser. The printer is available now from Kyocera dealers at a recommended price of $3,999 (€3,629).
