The Ethiopia-based manufacturer has constructed new premises and donated money to a local foundation.premium print

The company, which manufactures toner cartridges and is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, opened its new premises in Hayahulet, which will provide it with “a further 3,000 square feet of manufacturing space”. This extra space will allow the company to “manufacture for export, generating much needed foreign currency for Ethiopia”.

As a result of the expansion, 15 new staff will be hired, and the “first orders from Kenya have been received” for the company’s ‘Zebra Perfect Print’ toner cartridges. Premium Print already focuses on the Ethiopian, Kenyan, Tanzanian, Rwandan and Ugandan markets, and stated that with the new facility, it is now set to “export a top quality toner cartridge internationally”.

In other new developments, the company met with SOS Children’s Villages, a non-governmental child welfare organisation operating around the world and in Ethiopia. Representatives of Premium Print met with Nigussie Eshetie, Village Director of the charity, and presented the group with “a donation of cash and cartridges”. It added that it also provides “employment and life opportunities for the SOS youth” in its facilities in the region.

The Recycler recently reported on the company’s claims that local press statements on it supposedly having its “production licence withdrawn” were false, with court cases now lodged against both individuals and companies they believe are “behind the many tricks […] trying to drive us out of the market”.
