Apogee Corporation has merged with “leading” MPS provider Balreed Digitec to create “the UK’S largest independent Europe-wide provider of managed services”.
Balreed will reach a turnover of over £40 million ($62 million/€55 million) as it builds on its “established […] reputation for innovation in the field of managed services”, Apogee said on its company website. Balreed provides print and document hardware and software from manufacturers including Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Kyocera and Xerox, many of whom are also supply to Apogee.
Robin Stanton-Gleaves and Gary Downey of Balreed will join the Apogee board as Joint CEO and Group Marketing Director respectively, collaborating with Joint CEO Jason Collins and the expanded team. Barry Ferdinand will take a new Non-Executive Director role.
Apogee has completed more than 20 acquisitions to date.
