Canon Europe launches new i-SENSYS series

Sep 3, 2015

i-SENSYSThe i-SENSYS MF600 and MF700 series are designed to “address the print and document challenges of small workgroups as part of a larger organisation”.

The MF600 has a top print speed of 14ppm while the MF700 can print at up to 20ppm, IT Online reported. Both can upload scan data via cloud with Dropbox, GoogleDrive and Apple AirPrint, and are compatible with Google Cloud Print. The MF628w has built-in Wi-Fi for “further versatility”.

They also support the OEM’s PRINT Business app, integrates near-field communication (NFC) and iCloud support to ensure “a range of easy options to print from any device, anywhere”. The PRINT Business app replaces the Canon Mobile Printing and Canon Mobile Scanning apps.

Remote management is available with the MF600 series, and the devices feature a “fully customisable” colour touchscreen, “improved” scan-to-send functionality with scanning to USB, shared folders, FTP or an email inbox with a PC. Pull scanning means the user can scan directly to cloud applications or mobile devices.

The MF700 series is aimed at “small to medium workgroups” and integrates Canon’s NFC Touch & Print feature, enabling workers to link up the device with compatible smartphones and tablets. Scanning to searchable, EncryptediV and Digital Signature PDFs are also supported, and the devices have industry-standard PCL5c/6 and Adobe PostScript languages.

The MF729Cx model also works with uniFLOW. Both the MF700 and MF600 series of printers will be available across Europe from October 2015.

Rayner Botha, Product Manager for Office and Laser Products at Canon SA, commented: “Canon is committed to removing all perceived barriers to mobile printing, including difficult set-up and limited functionality.

“Our new i-SENSYS MFPs work out of the box and provide everything an organisation needs to be able to work fast and flexibly, with easy integration capabilities, end-to-end management and a user-friendly interface to ensure a hassle-free printing experience.”
