An alleged copy of the empties collector’s site has been created under the domain name http://purpleasset.com, with the company’s ‘About Us’ page even previously retaining the words ‘I.T.P’.

ITP contacted a representative of the group, who assured that “the offending breach of copyright and blatant plagiarisation would be removed or the site taken offline”, ITP’s Jason Doran told The Recycler. Despite this, “so far only our name has been removed despite numerous emails and calls”.
The collector has tried to contact the company through its ‘whois’ record, but is yet to receive a reply for this email address, and a UK number provided “is dead or switched off”, while the address is only a service address.
Doran said a number of ITP customers have been contacted by a person from ‘Purplestone’, who in turn have contacted ITP “concerned […] as to who they are”.
