GreenLineThe OEM’s GreenLine remanufacturing operation applies to the full range of its MFPs, which “go beyond recycling and are genuinely remanufactured”.

In an article on The Guardian website sponsored by Philips, it was described how the the MFPs are “returned from lease contracts, selected and renewed to a high standard before being placed with customers again”.

An “extensive renewal process” takes place after the devices are inspected and dismantled, with key components being replaced and software updated, while non-reusable parts are recycled uned a multi-tiered recycling system.

The article also states that the OEM “has seen a substantial improvement in resource performance across its product range”, with targets of a 25 percent reduction of the use of new resources in product manufacture from 2007 levels, and by 87.5 percent by 2050.

The manufacturer’s base in Wellingborough in the UK told The Recyler that it remanufactures roughly 200 printers a month under the scheme.
