90 percent of the cartridges Surrey County Council has purchased over the last three years have been “original branded products”, despite potential savings of up to70 percent had they chosen remanufactured options.
A Freedom of Information (FOI) request revealed that the council has spent more than £1 million ($1.5 million/€1.3 million) on ink and toner cartridges in the last three years., The Surrey Comet reported.
The figure for 2012-13 jumped almost £20,000 ($30,000/€27,000) compared with 2013-2014.
