Vermont-based NATIONAL Business Equipment has acquired Lockrows Business and Catamount Office Technologies to grow its presence in the North Country of New York, with offices in Plattsburgh and Burlington.
Lockrows is a total office solution provider, covering digital documents systems and IT support, and has been in business for more than 70 years. National Business Equipment has become recognised “on a national level” by Kyocera since Scott Mueller became President in 2008.
The purchasing company has five offices and employs over 60 people, and hopes to add an extra 40 to the workforce as demand for MPS and managed document services grows.
Mueller said: “Our plan is to continue to grow so we can improve our purchasing power and service capabilities, that in turn provides more value for customers who want to deal with a privately-owned office technology provider that will keep the money they spend in their local communities.”
Lonnie Cleland, Director of Operations at Lockrows, added: ”We are proud to join the award-winning NATIONAL team who have such a strong reputation for service excellence and commitment to the communities they serve.
“We’ve already received very positive feedback from our customers, and look forward to expanding our business relationships with them with the expanded portfolio of products and services NATIONAL brings to the table.”
