Xerox mobile printingThe new set of tools are designed to streamline remote mobile printing, allowing secure printing to “just about any printer”.

Running on the printer’s Extensible Interface Platform, the Xerox Mobile Print Cloud v3.0 now includes ‘@PrintByXerox’, ensuring secure mobile printing from any connected MFP, and the app allows documents can be sent to a dedicated email which releases the job at the nearest MFP, Business Wire reported.

The Mobile Print Solution allows workers to print from a mobile device to any networked printer, whatever the brand, and is available on premises or in the cloud, integrating with Apple AirPrint. Next is the Wireless Print Solutions Adapter, which adds wireless and mobile functions to legacy printers and MFPs that don’t have them built in.

The pocket-size adapter integrates seamlessly with Google Cloud Print, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC (near-field communication) tap-to-pair and Apple AirPrint. The Mobile Link app now supports Android and iOS devices and integrates cloud capabilities, allowing scanned documents to be printed and sent to numerous email inboxes and cloud storage sites simultaneously.

Finally, the PrintSafe Software authenticates MFP security, working with most industry standard card readers. The solution works on Xerox and non-Xerox devices, managing user access to MFPs, and can print to anywhere at any time within a customer network.

The Xerox Mobile Print Cloud v3.0, Mobile Print Solution and PrintSafe Software are available globally, while the Mobile Link App is downloadable at Google Play and Apple App Store, while the Wireless Print Solutions Adapter will become available by the end of December.

Jim Rose, Senior Vice President of Office Solutions Business Group at Xerox, said: “Working on the go often brings unneeded complexity and workflow jams like when you can’t connect to a local printer or your company’s cloud repositories.

“These five easy-to-use tools help break down the barriers of working remotely because employees shouldn’t see diminished productivity when they’re outside the four walls of their office.”
