The supplier recently joined distributor and remanufacturer Toko for a seminar in Bucharest offering the “latest information” on the industry.
Over 130 participants came to the meeting, whose speakers included Thomas Spicker and Mihaly Sandor from Delacamp, Toko CEO Victor Matache and Sales Manager Mihai Togan, and The Recycler’s Editor and Publisher David Connett.
The Recycler wrote an initial report on the event last week. Delacamp said thet delegates were “enthusiastic on coming together” to talk about their experiences and market trends, and to share opinions on remanufacturing.
Toko shared its local expertise, as it commands a large network of resellers and remanufacturers in the country, while the Delacamp speakers focused on “global market trends and technical insights”. The sessions covered a wide range of topics, from industry pricing to polymerised toner.
Connett spoke on how to avoid falling prices, a topic which Delacamp stated “directly addresses the major concern prevailing in the industry as competition from newly-built compatibles and clones keeps on growing”.
Spicker emphasised in another talk on polymerized toner “the importance of quality in an unhealthy price-oriented market” and “the opportunities existing for the aftermarket” in the toner, while Sandor from the technical department looked at the production and functionality of OPCs and toner, focusing on utilising components to get the best results in remanufacturing.
Delacamp said the CEE market “continues to be an important segment as end users in these regions are learning the benefits of remanufactured cartridges with remanufactured products holding a substantial market share”.
The seminar was part of series in CEE this year, with recent events in Greece and Bulgaria.
