Kaplet, Inc is the only IT management company in Indiana county with “multiple technicians and a store that is open Monday to Friday”.
The business, which operates as Cartridge World as well as under Kaplet Technology Solutions, also has the selling point that it only charges a half-hour minimum, rather than an hour minimum, once on site, Indiana Gazette reported.
Alan Seymour has owned the business since 2010, coming with a background in the telecom, temperature control and IT industries before starting Kaplet.
“We only charge for work we do and if you bring your personal system into the shop, we will not do any repair over $100 (€93) until we talk to you. We are a company that gives reduced rates to non-profits that are helping our communities, and we have donated all our time on occasion for special purposes,” Seymour said.
Kaplet partnered with Cartridge World in January 2015, when it also launched a fibre-optic programme. Customers who buy their ink and toner cartridges exclusively from the store get free maintenance for their printers, and the group has an MPS offering.
The US enterprise repairs hardware in-house and on location, and offers services in securing data backup and management, and installs hard drives as well as complex multi-server systems.
Seymour added: “We charge only for the time we work and no retainer fees. We are affiliated providers and distributors for Western Digital, ASUS, AVG, Lenovo, and Microsoft. We offer structural health monitoring, security and gas leak detection that utilise patented technology through sensors tied to fibre optics.”
