Inkjet printing to dominate in Bangladesh

Computer SourceHigh electricity costs and the pollution to the environment caused by laser printers will lead to the technology “becom[ing] lost”, Epson has said.

Satyaveet Satpathy made the comments at an event in the capital, Dhaka, where it was announced that IT equipment provider Computer Source has become a distributor for the OEM, HiFi Public reported.

Satpathy is Senior General Manager for Sales and Marketing for Epson India, and said that “the inkjet printer introduced to the market provides energy saving and eco-friendly facilities”. He also mentioned Epson’s ink tank range as a potential driver “for business profitability” in the country.

Asif Mahmud, one of the Directors of Computer Source, said: “As a distributor, Computer Source not only sells the best printers, projectors and scanners of Epson through its country-wide branch offices, but also provides service support to the end users and resellers at the shortest possible time.”
