Clover releases sixth sustainability report

Tcloverevolvehe remanufacturer added more than 127 remanufactured cartridges to its offering in 2014, recycling 95 percent of inkjet cartridge content and 83 percent of lasers and fusers.

The sixth annual sustainability report, viewable here, showed that Clover collected a total of 750,457 cartridges, fusers and other components through empties collector and broker OPRA, which it acquired in 2011.

Evolve Recycling, a Clover scheme which pays organisations to take back empty inkjet and toner cartridges, as well as other small electronics, managed 25,081 shipments in 2014, processing a total of 481,286 units, which amounted to 701,848,85 pounds of material.

The company collected more than 22,974,345 units globally, reused 39,949,938 pounds of materials, and recycled 29,371,134 pounds of materials in 2014, diverting 71 million pounds of material from landfill.
