The OEM has introduced the MF240 and 230 series to its imageCLASS portfolio.
The new MF249dw, 247dw, 244dw, 236n and 232w are said to provide home users, students and small offices with “compact MFPs that can help increase flexibility and efficiency”, according to a press release. The new additions are said to “provide users with increased mobile functionality” and the models have wireless direct connection which can connect “up to five compatible portable computing devices”, which include smartphones, tablets and laptops, with immediate effect without needing a router.
The series has a mobile-optimised remote user interface easily accessed from mobile devices, and the MF249dw and 247dw models “feature a send function, allowing users to easily scan and directly send scanned documents to their email, or network folder without a PC application”. The MF249dw, 247dw and 236n feature “a tiltable wide-screen touch panel LCD screen, allowing customers to easily navigate through the menu”, and “all the new models feature enhanced security protocols, for use in more secure office environments”.

The imageCLASS MF249dw, 247dw, 244dw, 236n and 232dw are now available through select retailers for prices of $299 (€265), $249 (€220), $199 (€176), $199 (€176) and $189 (€167) respectively.
