The OEM has launched the WorkCentre 3335 and 3345 MFPs as well as the Phaser 3330 to fight the “productivity drain” for small offices.
In a press release, Xerox stated that small offices’ “productivity drain can begin with a piece of office equipment or a process that no-one quite knows how to manage”, and the new machines aim to helps SMBs “avoid the loss”. The monochrome machines are said to be simple enough that “even the least tech-savvy person in the office […] can operate” them, with easy connections to mobile devices and a simple set-up alongside wireless connectivity and near-field communication (NFC).
There are also “time-saving features” such as a wireless installation wizard and an on-device address book, while print speeds range from 35 to 42ppm, with a print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200dpi alongside an optional second paper tray. Other features include “the latest security”, cloud print compatibility with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, Mopria mobile connectivity and a monthly duty cycle of up to 80,000 prints.
The three printers are available now worldwide, with suggested retail prices of CDN$549 (US$424/€376) for the WorkCentre 3335, CDN$679 (US$524/€465) for the WorkCentre 3345, and CDN$429 (US$331/€293) for the Phaser 3300.
Tracey Koziol, Senior Vice President of Xerox’ Office and Solutions Business Group, commented: “If you’re the person down the hall who’s constantly interrupted to help someone print from the cloud or connect to the Wi-Fi, you will love these products. Forget clicking through multiple sub-menus; we put 90 percent of the basic functions on the main screen, so anyone can click and move on to the next task at hand.”
