Thhp-smallest-printere OEM released the new desktop printer Deskjet 3720 and 3721, said to be some of the smallest printers to date.

The new models allow users to print from Facebook and Instagram, and have been named by TIME magazine as one of the 50 “most influential gadgets of all time”. The small size allows the printers to fit into most spaces and offer “easy printing from a smartphone or tablet”, coming in electric blue or sea grass green. Both the HP Deskjet 3720 and 3721 are on the market for NZ$99 (US$72/€64), reported Geekzone.

The Deskjets uses WiFi Direct connectivity, which means that they can be accessed from mobile devices without a network, while “setting up and printing directly from a mobile device has been made easier” with the HP All-in-One Remote mobile application. This is a free app which “provides users with key features including printing, copying and scanning wirelessly from most smartphones and tablets”, and includes Apple, Android and Windows devices.

Scott Leman, Market Development Manager for Printing at HP Inc New Zealand, said: “Consumers crave tiny, wireless devices that fit into their lifestyle and enable them to stay connected, social and productive wherever they may be, HP’s new DeskJet turns the traditional consumer printing experience on its head with its innovative, fun design and intuitive mobile connectivity from virtually any device or social network.”
