The OEM launched the new Latex 300 series at the SGIA Expo.
Printing Impressions World reported on the launch, with HP Inc stating that the devices introduce “key versatility and productivity advancements to the number one platform in its category”. The range consists of the Latex 315, 335 and 365 devices, which are aimed at “a range of customers, from small sign and copy shops to high-capacity print service providers” aiming to “gain affordable access to sign and display market opportunities across more indoor and outdoor applications”.
The OEM pointed out that the machines are “building on years of third-generation HP Latex technology innovation”, and “deliver the high image quality, productivity and durability, as well as environmental benefits and industry certifications, now synonymous with water-based HP Latex ink technology”. The machines can print at up to 64 inches in width, and at speeds of up to 334 square feet, with resolutions of 1,200dpi, while the 365 includes a new Quick Solutions support app.
At the event, HP Inc also introduced its Durable Backlit Fabric, which is a “100 percent polyester fabric” compatible with its latex ink technology for “outstanding colour vibrancy and dark, solid blacks comparable to UV ink technology”. This will be available in sizes of up to 126 inches next spring, while all three of the new Latex machines are available globally now.
Xavier Garcia, General Manager of HP Inc’s Large Format Printing division, commented: “With the introduction of the HP Latex 300 printer series, HP disrupted the low-volume market with a completely new platform featuring a range of price points, sizes and production levels, making it possible for more print service providers (PSPs) to enter sign and display printing.
“Today, HP is introducing new, key capabilities to this market-leading portfolio, inviting even more customers to take advantage of HP Latex technology and identify new avenues for growth.”
