ICS, based in Endicott, New York, sells refurbished printers and cartridges, and is growing its office space.

Press Connects reported on the company’s expansion plans, with the business a “three-person information technology business in 2005” that has “expanded into a company with more than 70 employees”. It has also recently announced “major expansions” to both its Endicott base and its Syracuse offices, including “hiring more employees and increasing its customer base and office space”.

Among the company’s services and products are IT support for SMBs, remote monitoring of technology systems, print and copy support, and a “line of new and refurbished print and copy machines” alongside toner cartridges that it “guarantees cut operating costs [by] an average of 35 percent”. The expansion comes after ICS saw “10 consecutive quarters of growth and profitability”, and it is “on pace to increase revenue by 20 percent by the end of the year”.

President and Co-owner Kevin Blake stated that the “emerging role of small businesses” in the region have helped ICS grow, adding that “people talk about the old days with IBM, but now there are small businesses everywhere with people supporting doctors, Lockheed Martin… from my perspective, a lot of my customers are thriving”.

The company has seen customers increase from 750 in July 2014 to 900 now, with these customer numbers including those “who request printing services”, so it actually serves “more than 500 customers who request IT services”. Outsourcing of IT has allowed it to hire around 20 new staff, with this “ongoing trend” spurring ICS on to “double” its office space to 15,000 square feet in Endicott and 10,000 square feet in Syracuse.

New staff will include both “young talent and experienced IT experts”, with Blake endorsing the company’s value of “family, loyalty and integrity, while staff are also able to access resources if they “have problems outside of work”. Blake concluded that “we create a loyal environment with a lot of long-term employees. We won’t take on a customer if they are not a right fit. We stand by what we believe”.
