Kevin E. Gillispie was charged with “three counts of armed robbery” in Outagamie county court.
The 52-year-old, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, committed the crimes while on bail for a bank robbery, reported postcrescent. During each robbery Gillespie used a handgun, which included the Cartridge World store as reported in The Recycler in March.
A total of $558 (€526) in cash was stolen from the businesses, and whilst robbing one of the stores he is quoted as saying “give me all the money out of the register or I’ll shoot you in the (expletive) head”, stated the complaint. Having been identified as “a suspect in the Fox Valley robberies” after his arrest for the Green Bay robberie,s Gillespie is set to go on trial on 4 October for “five counts of armed robbery” and is yet to be sentenced for the bank robbery.
At present Gillispie is in “the Brown County Jail” and has a $25,000 (€22,402) bail condition. For each of the charges of robbery the defendant could get 40 years in prison, with a further 20 years for attempted robbery.
