An unhappy consumer is suing HP for alleged misleading advertising.hplogonew

Legal Newsline reported that Californian Anthony Fehrenbach has filed a lawsuit for himself and “all the other members of public” against HP Inc. and he alleges that they are in “violation of the Californian False Advertising Act and the Unfair Business Practices Act”.

Fehrenbach bought the HP Smart Install but claims that it doesn’t work and that he has lost a substantial amount of money. Claiming that HP “misrepresented and falsely advertised” that the Smart Install would automatically install via the internet he claims that the company has “profited”  from the “sale of the HP Laserjet Printer” and the “Smart Install”.

The claimant wants a “trial by jury” and wants the case certified as a “class action” as well as “appointing the plaintiff and his counsel as class representatives”. He also wants “compensation for actual damages” and “punitive damages” as well as all legal costs and “pre- and post-judgment interest and all other relief to which he is justly entitled”.

Fehrenbach’s lawyers are Todd. M. Friedman and Adrian R. Bacon of the Law Offices of Todd. M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills, California.
