orink-logoThe company commented that Paperworld “is the most important fair for the European market in this business”.

The show next year – which includes the Remanexpo product group – will take place from 28 to 31 January in Frankfurt, Germany, and a wide range of industry companies are already confirmed for the event as exhibitors, with strong interest shown in the event. Previous exhibitors have already received an email containing a personal link to registration as well, and you can register for the event here; in May, The Recycler reported that the entire Paperworld event has seen a record number of exhibitor registrations.

Jonathan Wang, Senior Manager at Orink, told The Recycler that “now the business is [a] buyer’s market. The buyers know almost all the major suppliers in China. They can easily get market information everyday from [the] internet. So they don’t spend money and time to fly to China. Chinese suppliers have to go abroad to meet customers now.

“Paperworld is the most important fair for the European market in this business. We can spend three days and meet our customers and share information. It’s a good time to deepen our customer relationship and know each other better”. In terms of advantages of exhibiting, Wang noted that “from attending this event, we meet our old customers, we can introduce our new progress in the past and make a plan for the future.

“We can also meet many material suppliers at the fair who we cannot often meet even in China.   Also at the fair, some new customers will come to our booth who are potentially interested in our products”. Finally, on what makes the event special, he stated that “Paperworld is one of the famous fairs in this industry. I think all customers, old or new, who are interested in or involved in this business will come to this fair.

“With a good reputation and well organised, this fair is held in the beginning of each year, which promises the business of the new year, and we can [make] new preparations”.

This year’s event saw over 1,608 exhibitors and 36,773 visitors from over 139 countries, with exhibitors said to be “pleased with new contacts, order patterns and [the] internationality” of the visitors to their booths”. Exhibitor and visitor surveys showed that “real innovations and novelties”, alongside “positive order patterns”, created a “positive mood” among exhibitors at the event. A call for papers has also been launched for the REMCON conference.

The Recycler reported on the event in Frankfurt here, here, here and here; and a full report from this year’s Remanexpo can be found in issue 280 of The Recycler.
