The OEM’s new single-function and MFP devices are “set to transform the way printers are used within businesses of every size”.
Channel EMEA reported on the launch of the new machines, which include the C542 and MC573, and which are aimed at home and small offices as well as large enterprises, with the OEM claiming that they “aim to put professional colour printing within reach of every business”, and enable them to “print all required business materials in-house and on demand”. It also claims this “will save money, time and storage space and enable businesses to achieve a faster response to market changes”.
The new machines include features to “improve connectivity”, such as gigabit Ethernet to “enable the fast transfer of large colour files”, with the C542 and MC573 compatible with Apple’s AirPrint service as well as Google’s Cloud Print application. Tetsuya Kuri, OKI Europe’s Vice President of Marketing for the EMEA, stated that the machines are “designed to change perceptions of what a printer can do for businesses and organisations”.
He commented: “We are encouraging customers to take a fresh look at the potential of these affordable devices to help them build their brand, save time and money and enhance productivity. They can also help develop a streamlined and secure document workflow and management, enabling them to enjoy the benefits of a digital organisation.
“This launch marks a major renewal of our colour product range, opening up new market possibilities but also strengthening our core market provision. It makes big business capability available to every size of organisation and adds even more functionality as standard across the range to improve connectivity, security and ease of use.”
