Joseph R. Doriety was arrested for stealing $166,000 (€150,545) worth of goods from his employer.
Watertown Daily Times reported that Doriety primarily stole inkjet cartridges and diabetic test kits and then resold them, with the crime taking place while he worked at Walgreens between March 2010 and October 2015.
Doriety was found guilty of theft and sentenced to five years of probation at Jefferson County Court, where he admitted the crime. The 32-year-old, who was formerly from Watertown, was ordered to pay $165,690 (€151,171) compensation, and his probation supervision is to be transferred to Ohio.
