The OEM has launched the guarantee in the UK for “small workgroup users” of a range of its colour and monochrome printers and MFPs.
In a press release, Lexmark revealed that the new guarantee scheme is designed to “ensure peace of mind for its customers”, with the four-year “initial guarantee” in the UK “targeted at small workgroup users” and available for a “selected range of Lexmark’s colour and mono[chrome] printers and MFPs”.
The new guarantee consists of “24-hour online support and access to technical support by phone during working hours”, and is also said to “further” benefit the OEM’s customers “by covering all repair actions including the cost of spare parts for the full period”. This has “reaffirmed its commitment to end-users”, and will provide an “excellent Customer Support Service which delivers efficient problem resolution to keep businesses running smoothly while reducing costly printer downtime”.
Lexmark noted that the new scheme will provide workgroup users “with complete and long-term peace of mind by offering them four years of support coverage from initial purchase” on selected printers, with customers only needing to “register online” to activate the guarantee. Otherwise, customers “looking for extra support coverage or a priority service can request this during the registration process”, for “more tailored support offering as needed for an additional cost”.
Danny Molhoek, General Manager for North West Europe at Lexmark, commented: “As a global leader in output management solutions, Lexmark is committed to excellence in terms of product quality and reliability as well as to providing our customers with hassle-free printing and maximum uptime.
“We have total confidence in the printers that we are bringing to market and we will stand by these through guaranteeing our products for a four-year initial term. Business users can be confident that by purchasing Lexmark products they are investing in solutions that will deliver long term performance reliability with built-in protection against repair costs.”
