The company had earlier reported that the first seminar was to take place in Bucharest on 7 October and the second in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 15 October, with the former held in conjunction with its official resellers Timi, Toko and Sky Group. It has now reported back from the event, which was held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and saw attendees “participating from all over Romania”.

As well as a programme “provided by Static Control representatives”, the event also saw a guest talk from ETIRA Secretary General Vincent van Dijk. Static Control noted that its seminars “throughout Europe and Central and Western Asia” give remanufacturers “far and wide the opportunity to meet with Static Control’s sales and technical professionals in person, and discuss new cartridges, components, technologies and industry talking points”.

In Bucharest, attendees “expressed particular interest in the discussion surrounding the high-profile Canon dongle gear case and solution from Static Control”, as well as a session “introducing its range of laser and ink cartridges”. The company added that “as with all Static Control seminars, topics on the agenda were tailored to the region’s audience”, and included demonstrations on “key cartridges held by Technical Support Specialist Alejandro Casillas, a technical presentation on cartridge chips, and advice on how to sell on value instead of cost in the imaging aftermarket”.

Cristian Bratan, Business Development Manager for Static Control, commented: “Bucharest has brought us another hugely positive event that we hope has helped inspire the remanufacturers of this area to expand on current opportunities – and find new ones. We highly appreciate all the input from our customers, resellers and ETIRA for helping to make the seminar the success that it was, and look forward to holding more events in the future wherever support is needed.”

The company added that “to find out more about Static Control’s seminar programme, or to suggest a location where you believe a future event should be held, please contact your Sales Representative”. The Recycler reported on the free seminars hosted by Static Control in 2014 and 2015, including events in Croatia and Serbia, Italy, Latvia, France, Romania, Poland and Greece in 2014; as well as Albania, Hungary (in issue 271) and Greece last year.

The original programme was announced in March 2014, and was expanded in September that year.
