The new MFPs are said to deliver “advanced workflow” and be cost effective for SMBs.
“improve worker productivity, conserve energy and accomplish more in less time”. The MP C2004 and C2504 colour MFPs have an “easy-to-use Smart Operation Panel” which is 10.1 inches wide, and menus can be customised for “maximum productivity”, creating “one-touch shortcuts for common tasks”, and pins “informational widgets to the control panel”, which relies on actions similar to smartphones and tablets.
The devices recover from sleep mode in one second, and utilise the Smart device connector app with mobile devices to share information. The series can be “equipped with a variety of security features”, like card authentication and data encryption as well as “data overwrite”. Print speeds in A3 are 20ppm and 25ppm respectively for the C2004 and C2504, and “banner print” comes as standard with “specially designed rollers and guides” preventing paper curling, and “improved stacking”. The printers also come with anti-vibration systems reducing noise and creating a quieter work environment.
John Brophy, Vice President of Product Marketing at Ricoh USA, commented: “In fast-paced work environments, getting information from one person, place or project to another has to be as simple and swift a process as possible. This is why we implemented streamlining capabilities with an intuitive interface.
“This newest MFP series, in particular, makes the most of efficiencies in every sense of the word. In addition to streamlining workflows, the MP C2004 and MP C2504 have superior colour image quality that customers demand.”
