Canon India launches six new printers

The OEM has released six new inkjet printers in India.

Daiji World reported that the MFPs include MAXIFY MB470 and MB5170 and a single function MAXIFY iB4170, which feature the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) allowing the user to use “multi device management”, Canon’s imageWARE Enterprise Management Console (iWEMC) and PrintFleet.

There are also two PIXMA printers – the TS8070 and the TS5070 – which use Wireless Direct for easy connection to mobile devices. These come with six colour inkjet cartridges, and the former comes with a 4.3-inch LCD panel touchscreen system and has automatic duplex printing as well as printing from memory cards, alongside direct printing onto CD and DVD surfaces.

Finally, the PIXMA G4000 MFP has wireless connection and an ink tank for “high volume printing, copying and faxing” for cost effective management. The multi-function MAXIFY MB5470 and MB5170 and the single-function MAXIFY iB4170 are priced respectively at Rs 22,495 ($336/€308), Rs 16,495 ($247/€226) and Rs 9,995 ($149/€137).

The PIXMA TS8070 is priced at Rs 17,995 ($269/€246) and the PIXMA TS5070 costs Rs 9,995 ($149/€137), while the PIXMA G4000 is Rs 16,995 ($254/€233), and all products are available from November. Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India, said that “with the introduction of this range, we are targeting 25 percent market share in the inkjet printer category in 2017”.
