The US remanufacturer’s design team took part in and won a pumpkin-carving competition for charity.

The company stated that its design team participated in the O.C. Guts pumpkin-carving competition in Costa Mesa, California, with a total of 12 “talented design teams from around the area” taking part to raise money for Make-a-Wish in Orange County and Inland Empire. Before the contest, each team “ran their own fundraising campaign” for the charity, and all proceeds went towards “granting the wishes of medically-eligible children” in the O.C., San Bernardino and Riverside.

LD added that event “was the first of its kind in Southern California”, and saw promotion on the Good Day LA radio show, with teams given 90 minutes to “furiously carve a pumpkin of their choosing”, while guests attending “enjoyed music, refreshments and some festive face-painting”. Pumpkins were also put up for “silent auction immediately after the carving”, with local creative professionals judging each of the entries as well.

While the votes were being counted, the Make-a-Wish charity put on a presentation “highlighting the lives they’ve touched through their non-profit work”, and at the end of the evening winners of the auction were announced, as well as awards being “given out to the top pumpkins of the night”. The Studio LD team won the contest, and the company added that “it was a wonderful community event and LD Products was incredibly proud to be part of such a meaningful cause”.

LD Products also said “thank you to Make-a-Wish and all of the businesses, volunteers and participants that helped make it happen”.
