The OEM saw declines in revenue and profit compared to the same period last year.
Epson reported that its revenue for the second quarter fell from Y542.9 billion ($5.1 billion/€4.7 billion) in 2015 to Y487.5 billion ($4.8 billion/€4.2 billion) this year, while business profit fell from Y40.2 billion ($384 million/€351.2 million) to Y25.7 billion ($254.4 million/€224.5 million), respective declines year-over-year of 10.2 percent and 36.1 percent.
Income for the quarter meanwhile fell from Y16.3 billion ($155.7 million/€142.4 million) in 2015 to Y15.9 billion ($158.1 million/€151.8 million).
