The OEM is hiring 150 employees at its call centre in Washington state.xerox

The company has been based in the town of Federal Way for some time, and has recently hit a “growth spurt”, reported Federal Way Mirror, which is why it is hiring in the town over the next four weeks. The growth rate comes after the split of the company last January, and Sabrina Jones, Recruiting Director for Xerox, said” “With  these  changes,  we  are  experiencing  some  major  growth.  It’s  why  we’re  looking  to  hire  150  people  over  the  next  four  weeks.  And  we  will  continue  to  hire  on  a  pretty  regular  basis.”

Jones commented that “we’re doing  some  great  things, and  it’s  an  exciting  time  here  and  in  Federal  Way,  and  we  really  want  exciting  people  to  come  and  work  here”. The company is looking to hire a number of Customer Care associates, and Jones added that “there’s tremendous  growth  opportunity  for  people  here. Though  on  the  surface  it  is  an  entry-level  position,  anyone  with  career  advancement  aspirations  could  benefit  from  starting  out  in  that  role  with  us”.

There is a training programme for those who wish to advance, which can be applied for after six months. The job applications are by a “walk-in” approach, and assessments can be completed by computer at Xerox. Jones said that the company “prides itself on convenience” during the employment process, and that “if hiring managers like what they see from the application and assessment”, they can offer the job on the same day as the interview.

Jones commented: “If there’s someone we chose to make an offer to and they accept that offer, we also complete the hiring paperwork all in the same day. We’re growing. There really isn’t a better time than now. We are going to become our very own company, our own $7 billion (€6.3 billion) company out of the gate. We’re opening the doors, overnight, as our own company. The direction the company is going is really exciting.”
