A year ago the original company split into two companies, and HP Inc claims it has been reinventing the company in the sectors of printing, 3D printing and other technology. The company embraced the 3D market by introducing the MultiJet Fusion 3D machine, and partnered with BMW, Nike, Autodesk, Johnson & Johnson and others to work together in the 3D industry.

In the printing industry, HP Inc introduced 16 new laser MFPs in the A3 market, and announced a deal to acquire Samsung’s printer business, which it says means it can now offer customers “breakthrough performance and economics”, reliability and “the lowest cost per colour page in the industry”, giving channel partners an opportunity to be involved with a portfolio of A3 laser, MFPs and A4 laser printers.

They also introduced the Sprocket printer for mobile phones that prints instant photos from smartphones. Research and development has brought thermal inkjet printers and other emerging technology like digital security, as well as forming HP Tech Ventures, which invests in and creates partnerships with business start-ups.

The company stated that it is also committed to diversity of race, ethnicity, gender and perspective, and this shows at the highest levels of the company in the board of directors, with the OEM challenging agency partners to doing the same in their workforces. The OEM is also committed to sustainability, and uses 100 percent renewable energy sources in its manufacturing.

According to Gartner, HP Inc received 10 out of 10 for its “ethical and socially responsible global supply chain”, and the company also offered Syrian refugees educational and technology resources, and is committed to opening learning studios in the Middle East, providing adults with the opportunity to learn business and IT skills. It is donating $1 million (€902,000) in technology and training support to enable them to overcome poverty in the coming year.
