The OEM’s US subsidiary, OKI Data Americas, opened a new technology solutions centre in Texas.
American Printer reported on the opening of the site in Irving, with the new facility said to improve “service to customers and channel partners throughout the region”. The centre, at 8505 Freeport Parkway, is “part of a larger marketing and administrative office space” of over 15,000 square feet, and the OEM claimed that the site “will provide improved service to both OKI’s customers and channel partners throughout the central region of the United States and Latin America”.
Those attending the opening were able to walk “through printer and workflow demonstrations” as well as attend “guided technology overviews”, and participate in “discussions with the OKI Data leadership team on OKI’s innovative production, wide-format and office printing solutions”. The centre, OKI added, “showcases a variety of OKI printing systems”, such as those aimed at “graphic arts, production and speciality signage businesses”.
Other systems on show included “those that are designed to improve office automation and workflow”, with the OEM adding that the “central location and the area’s continued growth during the past few years helped spur the decision to open an office in Irving”. The new office will also create 100 jobs in “executive, marketing, sales and administrative positions”.
Sergio Horikawa, Deputy President of OKI Data Americas, commented: “We are proud to introduce this new facility to our customers and to the Irving area. It now enables OKI representatives to highlight our extensive product portfolio to visitors. In the long term, the new facility will provide a collaborative setting to demonstrate OKI’s ever-evolving printing solutions and value-added services.”
Dan Murphy, Senior Vice President of Marketing, added: “It’s an exciting time for OKI Data as the Dallas-Fort Worth region is experiencing strong growth. We are confident that investing in this new workspace will provide us with all resources necessary for us to expand our North American presence and our product lines.”
