The seminar held by the largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components was at the Suite Hotel Sofia, was attended by local and international delegates, and the programme topics included toner and ink cartridges from Static Control’s own range as well as MPS, OEM activity updates and a troubleshooting session on print defects.

The guest speaker was Vincent Van Dijk, Secretary General of ETIRA, who talked about recent activities within ETIRA and the EC’s circular economy initiative. Ognyan Sabchev, Managing Partner of Toner Support, and Stefan Penchev, CEO of Arbikas, discussed the potential for a national remanufacturers association in Bulgaria, which Penchev predicted “would protect the interests of the honest sector of the aftermarket”.

Alejandro Casillas, Static Control’s Technical Support Specialist and another speaker at the event, said: “This was an opportunity for us to not only impart new information, but also to learn how these remanufacturers work and find ways we can help them improve upon their existing processes. We took the opportunity to explain with real examples how, by precisely following our remanufacturing instructions; they can avoid many potential problems in the future.”

The seminar was considered to be a “huge success”, as well as well-attended and with a “high level of interactivity”. Penchev commented: “At Arbikas, we are proud that together, with Static Control and Toner Support, we have attracted the attention of a large proportion of the country’s remanufacturers, and held one of the biggest seminars in the remanufacturing industry of Eastern Europe that we have seen for years.”

Sabchev, who was also delighted to “see the benefits” to business delivered by the event, said: ”This seminar gave the professional remanufacturing community of Bulgaria an excellent opportunity to acquire updated market information and technical knowledge. Overall the occasion was a fruitful, invaluable experience that gave participants countless new opportunities to pursue.”

Static Control provides seminars that are free of charge to customers, and anyone interested in holding a future event should contact a sales representative at the company. Arbikas and Toner Support were announced as resellers in April earlier this year.
