Charity signs up with Funding Factory

Bloomfield Downtown Revitalisation Group (BDR) are raising money by signing up with Funding Factory, a fund- raising-through recycling company.

GC Daily World reported that BDR, which is a non-profit charity in Green County, Indiana, has “signed up” with Funding Factory, which will help them to make more money for their causes. Funding Factory, which describes itself as a “fundraising-through-recycling” company, is a division of Environmental Reclamation Services (ERS), which was acquired by Clover in 2010. The company also previously partnered with a US church on cartridge collection, and a US school in February this yearfunding-factory.

The company has helped to raise $33.1 million (€30 million) for its participants, who number over 58,100, and it has also prevented 42.2 million pounds of waste ending up in landfills. Funding Factory added that it “helps organisations connect with communities, fund goals and help the environment”. BDR has organised collection containers at various sites around Green County and the containers have a list of cartridges that qualify for recycling, more locations will be added as time goes on.

Matt Miller, a member of BDR, said: “We want to raise funds to put to use in improving the quality of life and lessening the burden of government to revitalise downtown Bloomfield as a destination for all to live, work and visit.”
