Canadian MPS provider acquires remanufacturer

QRX Technology Group has announced its acquisition of Toronto-based Kerr Norton.qrx

The acquisition was announced in a press release, and QRX said that it would “help strengthen QRX’s position in the IT equipment, supplies and service market”, enabling the company to provide more “environmental solutions” in what they offer. The combined resources of QRX and Kerr Norton will “ensure the best customer experience”, and QRX is focussed on growth “through its firm commitment to building strong business partnerships” and giving the highest level of service, noting that this acquisition will help.

QRX has revenues of CA$25 million to CA$30 million (US$18 million to $22 million/€17 million to €21 million)and was founded in 1989, noting that it is now classed as one of the largest MPS companies in Canada serving corporate clients and governments across the country. The company has long-term partnerships with major OEMs and offers ink and toner cartridges, media and paper products, and also provides printers and imaging equipment as well as services and MPS.

Kerr Norton was founded 75 years ago, producing typewriter ribbons, but has evolved as a computer supplies company and claims it is an environmentally-aware business with more than 20 years experience of recycling and remanufacturing cartridges. The company’s green programme “reduces waste and reuses raw materials”.
