The remanufacturer exhibited at the show in Italy, stating that visitors “were very interested” in its remanufactured products.
Giovanni Ravelli, Sales Manager for Italy for Embatex, stated that the company took part in the yearly show at the Bologna Exhibition Centre, noting that Embatex, “now part of Turbon AG”, was “present during the three days of the event and presented its products to the Italian public”. Ravelli noted that the “turnover of the last three years has grown significantly, and the visitors were very interested in our remanufactured printing consumables”.
He added that “our clients often become partners, having their own brand on our products”, with Embatex CEO and member of the Turbon board Christian Wernhart “present in Bologna” alongside his wife Gabriela, Embatex’s Marketing and Sales Manager. Ravelli pointed out that “opportunities to meet with clients were numerous because in addition to the well-known Emstar products, we also presented for the first time in Italy” its range of IBM laser cartridges.
He stated that these “are the best in terms of quality, durability and warranty of the famous brand”, having been “manufactured and marketed” by Turbon, while another product on its stand was “white toner on coloured paper”, with development by Embatex meaning the cartridges “are now available to the Italian market”. A specific RIP (raster image processing) software means “it is possible to print” with the white toner on a “normal printer” with CMY and no black.
Ravelli stated that the Italian market “is characterised by a large and damaging presence of compatible products and consumables that are not correctly regenerated and not reusable”, including new-builds and clones that are “infringing OEM patents”. Embatex, he added, “reiterates that all its products are regenerated”, and that “we never use new cartridges or tanks made with new plastic, even for cartridges without heads”.
In turn, “we collect empty exhausted cartridges with our collection systems, and after inspection they are reconditioned and filled with new toner or ink. This manufacturing process allows us to comply with the CAM, the minimum environmental criteria imposed by the Italian Ministry for the Environment. We are proud to see day-by-day the adoption of the GPP (green public procurement) model and the use of correctly regenerated products which are mandatory for the public administration.
“We are also very happy that our retailers and consumers choose the more-and-more recognisable, environmentally-friendly Emstar products with guaranteed quality and certified durability. We are serious of what we declare and serious about the sustainability of what we put into the circular economy in the aftermarket of printing consumables”.
At the same event, Ravelli – as President of Italian trade association ARTI-Italia – was present at the association’s annual meeting, which he told The Recycler about last week.
