The company has produced “customised-yield” replacement chips for a range of the OEMs’ machines.
The main release is a “replacement chip solution” for Kyocera’s 1-5 generation of products, with Apex noting that the chips allow for “customised yield as demand[ed]”, utilising “industry-leading chip technology” as “qualified products with consistent performance”. The company added that the chips, designed for monochrome cartridges, replace Epson’s LPB3T29 alongside Kyocera’s TK-1140 and TK-1147 originals.
The first of those three has a customised yield of 21,700 pages compared to the OEM’s yield of 14,100 pages, and has been launched for the Japanese market, for use in the Epson LP-S3550, 3550PS, 3550Z, S4250 and 4250PS. The first of the two Kyocera chips meanwhile has a customised yield of 13,500 pages compared to the OEM’s 7,200 pages, for launch in Europe and for use in the FS-103MFP and DP, 1135MFP and Ecosys M2035dn and 2535dn printers.
Finally, the second of the two Kyocera chips has a customised yield of 13,500 pages compared to the OEM’s 12,000 pages, is for the US market, and is designed for use in the FS-1035 and 1135DN machines.
