The new chips are designed to be used in the Xerox Phaser 3330 series of printers.
Apex stated that the new chips are “first-to-market” and feature an “SoC design”, with the Phaser 3330 and WorkCentre 3335 and 3345 printers launched in September this year. The company added that the machines feature print speeds of up to 42pp, and 35ppm respectively for the Phaser and WorkCentre machines, with the devices also supporting wireless and cloud printing.
The cartridges used in the printers feature a structure that “separates drum and toner”, with the replacement chips said to feature “steady performance”. The monochrome chips have been released globally and in the Middle East, with the global launches including three chips of differing yields.
These consist of 2,500 pages, 8,500 pages and 15,000 pages, while a 30,000 page drum unit chip is also available. In turn, the two chips launched in the Middle East include those with yields of 8,500 pages and 15,000 pages.
