The company has produced chips for use in a range of the two OEMs’ toner cartridges and printers.
Apex stated that the two printer ranges from the OEMs include the Dell S3840cdn and Xerox Phaser 6510n, with both ranges “colour multifunction printers” launched “in different areas in November 2016”. The Dell machines feature speeds of up to 36ppm, while the Xerox machines feature a speed of up to 30ppm.
The company added that the “first-to-market” chips feature an ASIC design as well as “steady performance”, with samples available on request. The Dell chips are designed for global use, and include two sets of CMYK chips, with the first featuring yields of 3,000 pages each, and the second set featuring yields of 11,000 pages in black and 9,000 pages in colour, for use in the S3840cdn and S3845cdn MFP.
The first Xerox launch meanwhile was CMYK chips for use in the Phaser 6510n, dn, dnm and dni, as well as the WorkCentre 6515n, dn, dnm and dni, with the black chip featuring a yield of 5,500 pages, while the colour chips feature yields of 2,400 pages each. Finally, in the Asia-Pacific, the company launched CMYK chips for the Fuji Xerox DocuCentre-V C2263 and 2265, with yields of 22,000 pages in black and 15,000 pages in colours.
