The company has notified customers that it has “adjusted” prices for inkjet cartridges from 1 January.
Ninestar announced in a letter to partners that “we got affected by cost increase[s] in the domestic and overseas markets, caused by raw materials’ cost escalating, logistics, [and] labour cost rise[s]”. It added that “the tendency” for increases “is becoming more serious recently since we’ve been receiving ‘Price Adjustment Notice[s]’ from our suppliers, especially for the key materials” for packaging, plastics, chips and more products.
The company went on to state that it has “made every effort to weaken the impact to our partners”, but that “it seems we cannot burden the overall cost rising under [the] current situation”, and that “in order to maintain consistent quality and supply, we regret to inform you that part of inkjet cartridges price[s] will be adjusted” from 1 January.
Ninestar concluded by telling partners that “for detail[ed] price information, please kindly contact your account manager. We appreciate your understanding and continuous support”.
