The Dubai-based remanufacturer stated it “keeps growing and is hiring”, with a new Reseller Management Manager sought.
The company’s CEO, Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi, stated on LinkedIn that the company “keeps growing and is hiring”, and is looking for a Sales Manager for Reseller Management for its LION brand, “based in Dubai” and requiring “extensive travel within [the] Middle East and Africa”. The company featured an extended job specification on its website, noting that the Manager would report to the Sales Director and work in the Trade Sales – Reseller Network department.
The posting added that the manager would be “responsible for adding and managing resellers for [the] LION brand for [the] Middle East and Africa”, with their responsibilities segregated into “star” and “guardian” task levels. The “star” tasks include leading and managing a “team of two sales executives and grow[ing] to [a] team of five by year end”, as well as “develop[ing] reseller partners across the globe for LION”.
Another task will be to “generate new leads, finding resellers selling to end users”, with a target of eight and a minimum of four per month. In terms of the “prospect pipeline”, GIT added that “at any given point of time there should be [a] minimum [of] 15 prospects in the allocated market”. The “guardian” tasks meanwhile include “responding promptly to customer enquiries within four hours”, “updating max[imum] sales with daily reports”, and “updating [the] sales plan and prospect pipeline on [a] bi-weekly basis”.
The posting also required skills and “competencies” including that the prospective manager “should be confident and possess excellent communication skills”, a “go-getter and self-driven”, a “quick decision maker”, “resilient and optimistic”, “opportunistic” and have “good listening skills”. A high-school qualification is required with “minimum requirements of three to four years “of sales experience in [an] IT reseller network”, and two to three years “of managing a team selling to [an] IT reseller network”.
Last year, the company opened a new East African subsidiary, and planned an expansion, which it later reported on the success of. Recently, it confirmed that it had joined a United Nations (UN) sustainability initiative to “align their strategies and operations with universal principles and human rights”, and was shortlisted for the 100 Greatest Brands for Asia-GCC, as well as being interviewed on local radio in Dubai.
