The OEM’s subsidiary has released three new monochrome MFPs and two new monochrome single-function printers.

The new releases, reported by Industry Analysts here and here, begin with the MP 402SPF, which the OEM says “delivers fast print speed, added productivity and reliability” and utilises the Workstyle Innovation Technology  and Smart Device Connector “to make sharing information quicker and easier”. The MFP features a 10.1-inch Super VGA smart operation panel to help users “more easily, intelligently and reliably get information where it needs to be, when it needs to be”.

Other features include a 320GB hard disk drive, 2GB of RAM and a print speed of 42ppm, with the smart operation panel allowing users to “utilise familiar gestures such as swiping, pinching and flicking, to complete tasks just as they do on their smartphones and tablets”. The Smart Device Connector app in turn allows for use from “smart devices”, while the machine can also scan at up to 80ipm.

The other releases included the monochrome MP 501SPF and 601SPF MFPs alongside the SP 5300Dn and 5310DN printers, with Ricoh USA stating that the “small-footprint” machines help customers to “share information and complete tasks quickly and easily […] at an affordable price point”. The four machines also help companies “drive maximum productivity and get the most out of their resources”, and are able to operate “nearly maintenance-free throughout” their life cycles.

The two MFPs feature print speeds of 52 and 62ppm for the 501SPF and 601SPF respectively, while the 5300DN and 5310DN printers feature speeds of 52ppm and 62ppm respectively. The two single-function printers are “compact” and can fit “easily under or on top of desks and counters”, with the 5300DN and 5310DN featuring respective resolutions of 1,200 x 600dpi and 1,200 x 1,200dpi alongside a maximum paper capacity of 2,600 pages.

The two MFPs also feature “workflow enhancing and tracking applications” compatibility, a “legal-sized platen” and a 75-sheet automatic reversing document feeder” alongside the smart operation panel and near-field communication (NFC) technology.

John Brophy, Vice President of Product Marketing at Ricoh USA, commented: “We talk a lot about how fast-paced today’s business world is, so it’s important to us to help our customers stay on top of their tasks. A big part of that is making sure the information-sharing process is as streamlined and simple as possible.

“That’s why the Ricoh MP 402SPF has our powerful Smart Operation Panel – to help move our customers’ workflows into the next generation of office automation. From the interface to the hardware to the available apps, every aspect of this device was designed with efficiency and productivity in mind.”

On the four new machines, he added: “You see it in how office spaces are designed: everyone is looking to get more done in less space. With this line of devices, we’re looking to help customers looking to do the same. These are high-quality, high-volume, high-speed workhorses that take up very little space.

“Not too long ago, the idea of a 62-ppm device that could fit under a counter and handle the high volumes generated by busy environments was inconceivable. Now, it’s under counters in pharmacies, higher education admissions offices and just about everywhere else.”
