The UK remanufacturer has signed a “strategic partnership” with Apta Global to distribute inkjet and toner cartridges in the region.
In a press release, the remanufacturer stated that Apta Global is run by “young and talented entrepreneurs” with “years of experience in Qatar and [the] UAE in the field of interactive printing solutions”, and already work “with some of the largest corporate clients in the Middle East”. The company also have offices and partners in Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India.
DCi Jet Tec added that Apta is “perfectly positioned with technical knowledge and distribution to represent the Jet Tec brand throughout the region”, with the “strategic partnership” concerning the “distribution of Jet Tec-branded ink and toner cartridges throughout the Middle East”. The two companies “successfully launched the Jet Tec brand together” at the GITEX show last year, and are “looking forward to developing their partnership over the coming months”.
The UK remanufacturer noted that it “prides itself on being a British manufacturer” with a 32,000 square metre factory facility in the UK “where all inkjet and toner cartridges are produced under one roof”. By “securing complete control over the manufacturing and quality processes”, the company has “become the leading brand in Europe, while also heavily investing in research and development”.
In terms of the Jet Tec brand, it started in 1996, and the company added that “over 20 years” it has “grown from a small range of inkjet cartridges to over 700 lines of remanufactured inkjet and toner for use in HP, Brother, Canon, Samsung , Epson and Lexmark printers”. Last year, to coincide with the 20th anniversary, the Jet Tec brand was “rejuvenated with British manufacturing history at the core of the toner packaging redesign”, with a red Routemaster bus.
The bus packaging shows off an “iconic British symbol” alongside the ‘Made in the UK’ logo, with the packaging said by the company to “not only” stand out “from competing brands, but creates strong brand association in a cluttered marketplace”.
Phil Sneath, Head of Business Development at DCI, commented: “The philosophies of DCI and Apta are closely aligned with commitment to supplying customers with high quality remanufactured product supported with local distribution and technical expertise. With the Middle East being one of the most exciting and forward thinking markets globally, yet also one of the most challenging, we are delighted to have partnered with the Apta team.”
