Ricoh’s MP C306
The MP C307 and C407 are said to “boast productivity and smooth mobile device connectivity”.
In a press release, Ricoh USA revealed the “robust” A4 colour MFPs, which are aimed at helping businesses “boost productivity and produce professional-quality colour output in-house”. Both machines use the OEM’s Workstyle Innovation Technology to “empower users to do more […] with fewer steps”, and the “information hubs” also “simplify daily tasks” due to higher speeds.
Both machines utilise optical character recognition (OCR) for archiving and “digitising large batches” of documents, and each features the OEM’s 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel with “familiar, easy-to-use shortcuts” akin to smartphones and tablets. The C307 features a print speed of 31ppm and the C407 a speed of 36ppm in colour and 42ppm in monochrome, as well as resolutions of up to 1,200 x 1,200dpi, a maximum volume of 5,000 pages per month and scan speeds of up to 80ipm.
Both printers are also able to produce “presentations, proposals and postcards”, have dual-sided scanning and a “legal-size platen” to scan stapled documents of up to 8.5 inches by 14 inches “with minimal interruption to [users’] routine[s]”. They can also synchronise with the Ricoh Smart Device Connector app for mobile printing and sharing with other devices and cloud services, while compatibility with other technology includes Apple AirPrint, Mopria and near-field communication (NFC).
Both the C307 and C407 have “fast first page out times” for “less time waiting”, and “proven controller technology” powered by a 1.46GHz processor and 2GB RAM, while a 320GB document server allows users to “store files from multiple sources for simple, on-demand access”, said to be “especially helpful for frequently reprinted jobs”.
