The MPS and software provider has integrated the Xerox device agent (XDA) into its solution.
MPS Connect reported on the announcement from Compass Sales Solutions that the XDA is “now available as a meter import option” in its Sherpa TCO (total cost ownership) software. The addition of the XDA to “other meter applications” in the software “allows for easier imports of your customer’s current equipment and meter reads”.
This in turn creates a “powerful tool” to “take the snapshot needed of an account’s current copying and printing environment to assess current expenditures”, and “not only will you have a current equipment inventory for that account, it will give data to prepare a solution custom-tailored to the account’s needs and the ability [to] use this information to track lease expirations and run comprehensive analytical reports”.
To use the XDA requires uses to update their Sherpa software, with the XDA appearing “as an option in the TCO dropdown to import meter reads”. Tami Dittemore, Vice President of Operations for Compass Sales Solutions, added that “Compass has the ability to interface with multiple meter discovery/tracking applications and adding the XDA tool to that list just further expands our integration offerings”.
