The company has launched its refilling machines in Romania.
David Lenny, CEO of RIS (Retail Inkjet Solutions), said on LinkedIn that “RIS is launching into our seventh country, Romania!”, in the “Metro Cash & Carry” stores, with its InkCenters “prepped for shipment today”. The company said that it is “passionate about finding better ways to print” and wats to save customers money while also doing “something positive for the environment”.
RIS was founded in 2004 and declares itself on its website as the “global leader in on-site inkjet printer cartridge refilling technology”. The InkCenter refilling machines are multi-patented kiosks that are installed in 670 retail locations across the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe, which include: Costco Wholesale, Sam’s Club, Fry’s Electronics, E.Leclerc, Auchan, Metro Cash & Carry, Intermarché, WHSmith, Saturn, Maplin and “select University Bookstores”.
Customers can save over 70 percent on the purchase of new cartridges, which deliver print quality, said RIS. Working with its retail partners, RIS said that the refill operation is “reliable” and adds a “valued service” to the customer, and that the process of refilling is simple for “both customer and […] retailer’s workforces”.
RIS said that retailers “choose inkjet refilling” to give customer satisfaction and save them money, as well as “driving repeat customer visits and customer time-in store” which impacts sales. Retailers are also differentiated from “those that only offer OEM branded cartridge selection”, which gives customers more choice and is more environmentally friendly, because the company is “aligned with sustainability objectives” by reducing the amount of one-use cartridges.
