Richard Wilbern, an ex-Xerox employee who allegedly murdered a man at the Xerox Credit Union office, has pleaded not guilty.
WHEC reported that the alleged murderer has pleaded not guilty, with The Recycler reporting last year that Richard Leon Wilbern was arrested and accused of robbery and the murder of Raymond Batzel in August 2003, and is now to appear in federal court to face the charges. Wilbern may face the death penalty for the murder of Batzel at the Xerox Corporation campus, where he also allegedly robbed the credit union.
Wilbern was arrested after 13 years on the run, and he now also faces charges for keeping four guns at his girlfriend’s house, as he is a convicted felon and cannot own a gun. After his first court appearance the decision that he would not face the death penalty was made, and Wilbern has been under arrest since.
