The company has launched toner and components as well as cartridge airbags.
HP Inc’s LaserJet Pro M26
The first launch from the company was Absolute Black toner and components for use in HP Inc’s LaserJet Pro M26 MFP and M12 monochrome printers, with these “just released” printers said to be HP Inc’s “lowest priced compact monochrome MFP”. The machines are based on the LaserJet Pro P1102 and M1212 print engine, with speeds of 19ppm and 600 x 600dpi resolution, and are aimed at small and home-based workgroups or offices.
Uninet added that the toner cartridge (CF279A) is “identical” to the P1102 and M1212 cartridges “except for the endcaps”, while all “internal components are the same”, and the cartridge is rated at 1,000 pages, while the company “offers a complete product solution to serve the needs of remanufacturers of these cartridges”.
The second launch was X Generation black toner and components for Konica Minolta’s bizhub 4750 and 4050 MFPs, monochrome printers with respective speeds of 50ppm and 42ppm and “designed based on the Lexmark MS/MX series engines and supplies with Minolta brand dedicated smartchips”. Uninet notes that the printers are “very popular”, and are used “in high volume printing applications”, with the toner and drum cartridges “separate units” with ratings of 20,000 and 60,000 pages respectively”.
The company added in turn that “this is potentially a very profitable cartridge because it is considered easy to remanufacture”, and “just needs [you] to refill toner and add the smartchip”, while it also “offers a complete product solution to serve the needs of remanufacturers of these cartridges”. The third launch was Absolute Colour toner and components for Dells M3845 and S3840 colour MFP and printer, rated at speeds of 36ppm.
Both machines use OEM toner supplied in standard and high-capacity yields, with respective yields of 3,000 pages for all colours and 11,000 pages for black and 9,000 pages for colours. Uninet notes again that “this is potentially a very profitable cartridge because it is considered easy to remanufacture”, and again “just needs [you] to refill toner and add the smartchip”, while it also “offers a complete product solution to serve the needs of remanufacturers of these cartridges”.
Finally, the company has launched Q-type cartridge airbags for “protecting” a wide range of “remanufactured toner cartridges during shipment”. The bags are designed for use with: the HP Inc 2300; 4000; 4100; 4700; 1010; 1100; 1200; 3200; 2500, 2600 and 8100; and the Lexmark E320. The inflatable bags “are commonly used by many OEM manufacturers, and remanufacturers as well”, and ship in 100 pieces per box, and are “available in a variety of sizes and configurations”.
The Q-type bag is said by Uninet to be “very popular among remanufacturers, and it does not require heat-sealing, but rather has a foldover end cap design”, with “a special air nozzle […] required to provide proper pressure. Once the bag is inflated, fold back the endcap, and insert the cartridge into the bag; then pull the endcap back over the exposed end of the cartridge. The bag (and cartridge) can then be placed into the shipping box”.
In turn, “the end user simply opens the box, removes the airbag and cartridge, folds back the endcap and removes the cartridge from the bag”, while another feature is that “these can be used again”, as the end user “can take that used cartridge, slide it back into the airbag, place it back into the box and return it to the remanufacturer”.
