Brother launches new inkjet printers

The OEM has expanded its INKvestment colour printer series.

Yahoo Finance reported that the new models will provide SMBs with “full featured printers that are cost effective and business ready”, adding two new printers to the INKvestment series, the MFC-J5930DW and the MFC-J6935DW. These are said to save businesses money by increasing page yield, 3,000 pages for mono and 1,500 for colour so $0.01 (one euro cent) for black and $0.05 (four euro cents) for colour. All the printers come with free technical telephone support for the lifespan of the printer, and are business ready.

Both the new printers have an additional paper tray and automatic duplex printing as well as single-pass duplex copying and scanning, and can print up to 11” x 17” documents, while the MFC-J6935DW can copy and scan ledger size documents directly on the scanner. Additionally there are business features such as Amazon Dash Replenishment for automatic ink orders, and users can register with Amazon Dash to use the feature.

The printers also integrate with popular cloud services including Google Drive, Dropbox and Evernote, and documents can be scanned to Brother cloud apps like Office, Outline and Copy, Outline and Scan, Outline and Remove, NoteScan and CreativeCenter. Wireless connectivity is with Wi-Fi Direct, and users can print from smartphones, tablets, laptops and desk computers, while mobile devices can sync with AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Popria, WiFi Direct and Brother iPrint and Scan.

There is a touchscreen display which is 3.7,” which allows access to the printers’ features, and the printers have a two-year warranty. The new printers are available from online retailers and brand distributors, and the MFC-J5930DW is priced at $299.99 (€284,) while the MFC-J6935DW is priced at $349.99 (€332).
