Global Imaging Systems (GIS) has acquired Laser Resources, a US dealership.
Xerox announced that its subsidiary GIS has acquired Laser Resources, a multi-brand dealer that provides MFPs, printers, professional services, mailing solutions, document management and MPS. The strategy for GIS is to expand its “multi-brand sales channels”, and this acquisition will strengthen its presence in the markets of Des Moines and central Iowa.
Bob Lashier, President and CEO of Laser Resources and one of the founders in 1991, will continue in his post as company President. Andy Lashier, Co-owner and Executive Vice President, will also remain in his post, having been with the company for 20 years.
Bob Lashier commented: “Our ability to sell the Xerox product line through our partnership with GIS will allow us to reach new heights with our printing solutions, maintenance services, and technical support offerings. Best of all, it increases our ability to exceed customer expectations throughout Iowa and its borders.”
Michael Pietrunti, Senior Vice President, Acquisitions, Corporate Services and Marketing, GIS, said: “As a leading multi-brand dealer, Laser Resources expands our network of locally based companies who successfully provide end-users with industry leading technology and innovative services. We’re joining forces with one of Iowa’s most respected and growing document solutions companies.”
